Hoosier born and raised, ten years of sewing as a member of 4-H led to a career in Textiles. In April of 1980, with help from mother, Miriam Peebles, Nancy J's fabrics opened. Originally the shop featured fashion fabrics, but after a few seminars with Mary Ellen Hopkins that focus shifted to quilting. Nancy J's goes "on the road" as a vendor at Quilt Shows around the Midwest an average of six times a year and sets up a shop for Camp Tecumseh's Quilt Camp three times a year! On the personal side, Grandson Jackson was born on Dec. 9th, 2004 which just happens to be Nancy's birthday, too. Son, Matt and Daughter-in-law, Laura are his parents. Grandpa Bill is the ever ready babysitter, looking forward to the day when they can play catch!! |
